Founded in 1995, MTB has grown into a company with 35 full-time employees stretching across Indiana and Illinois.  Our technicians are dispatched out of three divisions servicing parts of Michigan, Wisconsin, Indiana & Illinois.  We are a family owned and operated company that is 100% autonomous from any mechanical contractor or entity.  In 2023, MTB became certified as a Woman-Owned Small Business (WOSB), through the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).

Air Testing & Balancing

Determine quantitative performance of a particular piece of equipment and regulate or control the air moving through it to meet design or owner’s specifications.

Hydronic Testing & Balancing

Determine quantitative performance of a particular piece of equipment and regulate or control the fluid moving through it to meet design or owner’s specifications.

Healthcare Facility Code Compliance

Quarterly, biannual, or annual testing, adjusting, and balancing of healthcare facilities to ensure proper ventilation to comply with a particular code or owner’s needs. Testing includes, but is not limited to air changes and room pressures. Our trained and certified technicians are well versed in solving complex hvac problems while coming up with solutions to keep your facility operating in a safe manner.

Kitchen and Fume Hood Performance Testing

Testing, adjusting and balancing kitchen and fume hoods to ensure they operate per specifications and abide by local codes. Kitchen and Fume hoods should be tested annually to ensure proper operation and ventilation. More importantly ensuring the safety of the person/student or employee using the hood.

Commissioning

ASHRAE Guideline 0, The Commissioning Process, is defined as “a quality-orientated process for achieving, verifying, and documenting that the performance of facilities, systems, and assemblies meets defined objectives and criteria”. Commissioning is an all-inclusive process for all the planning, delivery, verification, and managing risks to critical functions performed in, or by, facilities. Commissioning also accomplishes higher energy efficiency, environmental health, and occupant safety and improves indoor air quality by making sure the building components are working correctly and that the plans are implemented with the greatest efficiency.

Total System Analysis

Taking measurements of all of the HVAC Equipment in a building and provide documentation on the performance of the HVAC system.

HVAC Fire Life Safety Services

Fire Life Safety Code 101 requires all fire dampers, smoke dampers and stairwell pressurization fans be periodically functionally tested. Nearly all buildings designed for human occupancy are required by today’s building codes to be designed with an assurance that, over the life of the building, occupants will be reasonably safe from fire and smoke. We are a one-stop shop for service, inspection and repair, along with providing a well-documented, certified report.

Pressure Testing of Ductwork

Pressurizing sections of ductwork to ensure the ductwork is not leaking air in or out. Air leaking into or out of the HVAC System can dramatically affect humidity control, condensation potential, indoor air quality, energy consumption and occupant comfort.

Working with our clients toward resolving any HVAC related problem. Our professionals will make recommendations on how to solve your HVAC issues and/or concerns.
